To solve a sinister murder, players in Murderous Muses must outwit a haunted art gallery. Muses, in contrast to the majority of narrative games, features procedurally generated galleries, puzzles, and homicides that can only be deduced from.
Gamers can keep playing to increase their run times and scores as they unravel the multilayered story. Sleuths are also able to share and compare stats with friends across all platforms thanks to the seed-based generation system.

Tim and Lynda Cowles, who met in high school, fell in love with FMV games around the same time they fell in love with each other. They are now married. They played their first FMV game together in 1994’s Tex Murphy: They spent the evening of their 21st wedding anniversary writing a short story for Chris Jones, aka Tex Murphy, to VO in their own FMV game The Shapeshifting Detective almost three decades later. He did a great job!
Since its inception in 2004, D’Avekki Studios has focused on the development of boxed murder mystery dinner party games, many of which include interactive questioning and feature filmed evidence. Although traditional murder mystery games still make up a significant portion of their output, Tim and Lynda have also been combining their writing, filming, and programming skills to create compelling FMV games about supernatural mysteries since 2015. This brings their own story full circle.
When coder Sam Johns officially joined the company in 2022, the small two-person team became a small three-person team.
Independent Video Game Studio
Tim Cowles, director of D’Avekki Studios, stated that making a 3D FMV adventure game has been the most fun to make and play so far, introducing them to a whole new world. Since playing Phantasmagoria and Under A Killing Moon in the 1990s, they have always wanted to do this, and he is thankful that Unity has made it possible for their small team to level up!
