Sparkling Discoveries to host a virtual event in April 2023, with experts from the wine industry in conversation with the wine community.
Virtual Event
The first brand-agnostic platform for news and information about sparkling wine, Sparkling Discoveries, will host a virtual event on April 18 where a panel of leaders in the sparkling wine industry will talk about their experiences working in the community and what they think the future holds for the bubbly industry. The meeting is expected for shimmering wine sweethearts, media, and anybody working in igniting or still wine who needs to hear from a portion of the main personalities in the business.
The virtual events platform purple cork will be used to power the event, which will be co-hosted by Sparkling Discoveries and the Wine Business Institute at Sonoma State University.
Vicky Farrow, the founder of Sparkling Discoveries, and Ray Johnson, the executive director of the Wine Business Institute, will serve as moderators for the discussion. Joy Sterling, CEO of Iron Horse, will be on the panel; Samantha Capaldi, a sommelier and co-founder of Faff Wine Co.; Jon McPherson, master winemaker for South Coast Winery, Carter Estate Winery, and Carter Creek Winery, and Blaine Ashley, founder of New York Champagne Week.
Sparkling Stars
The official introduction and toast to the current list of “Sparkling Stars”—the movers and shakers of the sparkling wine industry that the Sparkling Discoveries community has recognized since its launch in late 2022—will also take place during the virtual event.
According to Farrow, sparkling wine is a $33.9 billion global market that is expected to reach well over $50 billion by 2027. The sparkling wine community has received an overwhelming response to the Sparkling Discoveries platform since its launch. She can’t wait to bring together this panel of industry leaders to hear from some amazing people in the wine industry about where they’ve been, what they’ve accomplished, what challenges they’ve overcome, and what makes them excited about sparkling wine. She wants this to be like having a conversation with a close friend, complete with entertaining tales and a few secrets.
From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific time on April 18, this virtual event will take place. To celebrate the Sparkling Stars and the promise of the sparkling wine industry, attendees are encouraged to open a bottle of their preferred spirit.
