Unfortunately, bugs and abundant sunshine will soon be joined by warmer temperatures. With their new outdoor candle brand, Carolina Naturals, popular natural soy candle manufacturer Wax On Fire is prepared to provide customers with an all-natural option.

Carolina Naturals, in contrast to other candles that repel insects on the market, burns cleanly and does not contain any carcinogens. In addition, they repel mosquitoes, flies, gnats, bees, wasps, roaches, fleas, and even ticks very well.

Candles from Carolina Naturals are made by hand in the company’s warehouse in South Carolina. They are made with vegan soy wax that is sourced ethically and sustainably from farmers in the United States. Additionally, there are no additives, carcinogens, or harmful chemicals in the wax. Natural repellent oils like lemongrass, eucalyptus, and citronella are featured in the candles, which have a grade that is extremely air-permeable. The cotton-braided wicks offered by Carolina Naturals do not contain zinc, lead, or paraffin wax.

The candles are packaged in a sturdy, 16 oz. tin container with a lid that makes it simple to bring on adventures for outdoor enthusiasts. In addition, they are made to burn evenly and slowly, offering protection against insects and mosquitoes for up to 80 hours.

Wax On Fire

Wax On Fire has been making natural soy candles since 2018 to meet the growing demand from customers who want an eco-friendly, non-toxic candle option. Alisha Malone, the company’s founder, started handcrafting soy candles from her home, but her business quickly grew to the point where she needed to expand. Her company now operates out of a warehouse in Lexington, South Carolina, that is 4,000 square feet in size.

The insect repellent candles from Carolina Naturals, like many excellent products, were developed out of necessity. Malone started making a candle that repels insects in 2020, during a scorching summer that was also full of mosquitoes and other insects. She wanted to make spending time outside with her family more enjoyable. She launched an insect repellent candle through Wax On Fire after conducting extensive research, development, and testing. This candle quickly became a customer favorite. In 2023, Malone created her own brand for her well-known repellent candle: Carolina Naturals.

Alisha Malone

Malone explained that she and her family are avid outdoorsmen themselves, so they have tested their repellent candles in some of the most insect-friendly settings. Our repellent line has proven to be the most ideal testing ground in the scorching heat and humidity of South Carolina, particularly when camping and fishing. Under the most extreme conditions, their candles have proven to be extremely effective.

One of Malone’s company’s core values is bringing products to market that she and her family use and enjoy. They truly hold their products to the highest standards and are extremely proud of the fact that their insect repellent candles have proven to be highly effective on every occasion and have surpassed their expectations. They can’t wait for Carolina Naturals’ customers to take advantage of the warmer weather this year!
